Anambra Court Sets N50 Million Bail for Nnewi Native Doctor

Anambra State High Court in Awka has granted bail to Ikechukwu JohnPaul Ezenagu, known as “Mmuo Mmili Afuluanya”. The court set bail at Fifty Million Naira with one surety, and Justice Jude Obiora attached strict conditions. The accused must deposit the title documents of his home. The property will be forfeited if he fails to appear for trial. He is also barred from speaking to the press until his case concludes. Defence counsel Kingsley Awuka described the bail as fair and expressed confidence that his client will meet the terms. He said he expects justice to be served. The prosecution is led by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN. Ezenagu faces charges under the Anambra Homeland Security Law. The case was adjourned to July 3 for further hearing.
