Nigerian Man Jailed Two Years in Cyprus for Drug Possession and Trafficking
A Nicosia High Criminal Court in Cyprus has sentenced Okechukwu Charles Nelson to two years in prison over drug-related offences. Police reportedly searched his residence in Gönyeli on May 3, 2026, and found 42 grams of cannabis, 700 milligrams of cocaine and one narcotic pill. The court said drug offences threaten public health and social order. Nelson’s guilty plea and early resolution of the case were considered before sentencing.
