Domestic election observers monitoring the Osun governorship poll in Ede have described the exercise as peaceful, with a strong voter turnout reported in several polling units. Observers said security personnel maintained order and voters queued calmly at locations across Ede North and Ede South. Accreditation and voting reportedly began early in a number of the polling units visited. They urged voters to follow INEC guidelines, participate without fear and allow the process to continue peacefully until results are announced. The election is being contested by candidates from 15 political parties.
