Momodu Predicts Strong 2027 Showing for Obi in South-East and South-South

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, says Peter Obi remains highly popular in the South-East and parts of the South-South ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In an interview, Momodu predicted that Obi would outperform Governor Charles Soludo in Anambra State and weaken President Bola Tinubu’s support in the two regions. He argued that Tinubu would need broad backing across the South while also competing for votes in the North, where he received significant support in 2023.
