US Announces $10m Reward for Leader of Iraq’s Iran-Aligned Militia

The US State Department has offered a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the capture of Hashim Finyan Rahim al-Saraji, known as Abu Alaa al-Walai. He leads Kataeb Sayyid al-Shuhada, a group designated as a terrorist organisation by Washington. US officials say the militia has killed Iraqi civilians and attacked US diplomatic and military facilities in Iraq and Syria. The reward announcement was shared via a social media post from the US government.
