Poverty Predates Tinubu’s Administration, Says APC Spokesperson Felix Morka
APC spokesperson Felix Morka says poverty in Nigeria did not begin under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that it has remained a challenge under successive governments. Speaking on Arise TV on October 27, Morka said it was unrealistic to expect Tinubu to eradicate poverty within three years. He noted that previous administrations, including the Obasanjo government in which Atiku Abubakar served as vice president, also did not eliminate poverty. Morka said Tinubu’s position was that poverty is a longstanding national and global problem, not one created by his administration.
