Tinubu Plans to Present 2027 Budget to National Assembly Before Year-End

President Bola Tinubu is expected to present the proposed 2027 federal budget to the National Assembly before the end of 2026. Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Doris Uzoka-Anite, disclosed this after the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja. She said preparations for the budget are already underway, though no presentation date has been announced. The proposal is expected to set out the Federal Government’s spending priorities, revenue projections and economic plans for 2027. The Budget Office has also asked ministries, departments and agencies seeking personnel-cost allocations to submit their proposals with copies of their establishment Acts.
