11 Days In: Israel’s Missile Damage Claims a Fraction of June 2025 Toll
In the first 11 days of the current conflict, Israel’s Tax Authority logged 9,115 damage claims. These include 6,586 for building damage, 1,044 for contents and equipment, and 1,485 for vehicles. By comparison, after just two days of the June 2025 war, nearly 10,000 claims had already been filed. That number swelled to 18,800 by day four, and reached 53,409 claims by the end of the 12-day campaign. The Tax Authority paid out NIS 2.9 billion in compensation then. Data from the Institute for National Security Studies shows fewer missiles and drones launched this time—under 600 versus about 1,600 in June 2025. Yet alerts have doubled, rising from 20,000 to around 42,000 so far. Last June’s strikes included hits on high-rise towers, forcing many demolitions and rebuilds. This round has seen fewer direct hits on large buildings, keeping damage claims comparatively low.
