A 21-year-old man has been detained in Driekoppies, Schoemansdal, Mpumalanga after allegedly murdering a three-year-old girl. The child was left asleep on a couch by her mother, a domestic worker, and later found with fatal head injuries in the garage. Mpumalanga police say the suspect admitted he acted out of anger because the house wasn’t cleaned properly. He lives with his grandmother, who employs the mother. A murder case is under investigation and the suspect is due in Nkomazi Magistrates’ Court on May 7, 2026.
