Federal Government Begins Sectional Demolition of Carter Bridge for Reconstruction
1 / 3
The Federal Government has begun sectional demolition work on the 1901 Carter Bridge as part of plans for a proposed $500 million cable-stayed reconstruction. I am pleased to see work reportedly starting quickly after the announcement. This kind of infrastructure renewal can improve mobility and support economic activity in Lagos. I hope the government gives similar priority to damaged Trunk A roads across the country that need urgent resurfacing.
