Peter Obi Will Remain More Popular Than Soludo, Says Senator Victor Umeh

Senator Victor Umeh says Peter Obi will remain more popular than Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo in Anambra, Nigeria and abroad, regardless of Soludo’s achievements in office. Speaking on a television programme on October 27, Umeh addressed the growing political disagreement between the two former Anambra governors. Soludo has questioned claims about Obi’s record in office, including assertions that he left the state debt-free. Umeh also maintained that Obi won the 2023 presidential election and said he believes Obi would win if another free and fair election were held today. Soludo has endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and urged South-East voters not to support Obi in 2027.
