Troops Foil Suspected Terror Plot, Evacuate 21 Female Students in Borno

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have foiled suspected ISWAP/JAS attempts to infiltrate a military base and attack an area near the Water Board IDP Camp in Monguno, Borno State. Following intelligence that seven suspected terrorists carrying improvised explosive devices were nearby, troops evacuated 21 female students to Kinnasara Barracks. Three students who suffered seizures during the evacuation were treated and stabilised at a hospital. In separate operations, troops and local hunters engaged terrorists in Askira Uba, arrested a suspected cross-border kidnapper in Adamawa, rescued a kidnap victim in Kogi, and repelled suspected terrorists along the Wasagu-Ayu Road in Kebbi. Weapons, phones, cash and motorcycles were recovered in some of the operations.
