Kaduna Housekeeper, Driver Arraigned Over Alleged Theft of $3,000 and ₦2m Valuables

A Kaduna Magistrates’ Court has arraigned a housekeeper and a driver over the alleged theft of $3,000, jewellery, bags and clothes valued at ₦2 million from their employer. The defendants, both employees of the complainant, were charged with conspiracy and stealing. Prosecutors alleged that they entered their employer’s bedroom while she was at work and took the items. CCTV footage reportedly helped investigators trace the alleged crime. They pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of ₦500,000 each with two sureties. The case was adjourned until November 30 for hearing.
