18 Killed, 12 Abducted in Separate Attacks on Adamawa and Sokoto Communities
At least 18 people were killed and 12 others abducted in separate early-morning attacks in Adamawa and Sokoto states. In Adamawa, suspected Boko Haram insurgents reportedly invaded Zaranga village in Gombi LGA, killing 11 residents and setting homes ablaze. Several residents fled into nearby forests, while search teams continued looking for people still missing. In Sokoto, armed bandits reportedly killed seven people and abducted 12 others during an attack on Tofa village in Rabah LGA. The assailants were said to have operated for hours, fired at residents and rustled livestock before fleeing. The attacks have renewed concerns over the safety of rural communities facing persistent insurgency and banditry.
