Sowore Alleges DSS Planted GPS Tracker on Vehicle in Port Harcourt
Omoyele Sowore has alleged that a GPS tracking device was attached beneath a security vehicle he used during a visit to Port Harcourt for the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual conference. Sowore said he became suspicious after noticing unusual movements around him and switched vehicles after attending a gathering. He claimed the device was later found under the vehicle and identified it as a Spytec GPS GL300 tracker. He accused the Department of State Services of monitoring his movements and said he would seek to identify whoever deployed the device. The DSS had not responded to the allegation at the time of the report. The claim comes as the DSS is prosecuting Sowore over alleged defamatory social-media posts concerning President Bola Tinubu.
