APC’s Failures Are Clear. Can the Opposition Unite to Rescue Nigeria?
I believe the APC has failed Nigerians, trading Renewed Hope for renewed hardship and insecurity. The recent kidnapping of 39 schoolchildren in Oyo State and the death of former army spokesman General Rabe Abubakar in bandit captivity highlight a government unable to protect lives. President Tinubu seems more focused on securing a second term than demanding accountability. While the First Lady donates vehicles, victims remain unrescued and criminals roam free. Our countless ID systems mean little if security agencies cannot track these criminals. But my concern lies with the opposition. Too many leaders chase personal ambition instead of building a united front. Dele Momodu’s bid to be Atiku’s running mate and Aisha Yesufu’s rejection of a House ticket reflect ego over strategy. Defeating the APC requires discipline, sacrifice, and a collective vision. If opposition figures truly want to rescue Nigeria in 2027, they must put national interest above self-interest.
