Nine Passengers Killed as Gunmen Attack Bus in Plateau’s Jos South
At least nine passengers were killed after gunmen opened fire on a commercial bus at Dungus Junction in Kuru, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The bus was travelling to Jos and had stopped to drop off passengers when it was attacked at about 9:40 p.m. The driver, identified as Ibrahim from Bukuru, was among those killed. Traders and residents of Bukuru and Kuru were also reported among the victims. A representative of the Berom Youth Moulders said several passengers sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital, where some later died. Reports indicate that one passenger survived the attack.
