Samuel Ajose Declares Gubernatorial Bid, Mobilises Grassroots Support for Tinubu
Samuel Ajose formally announced his intention to run for the APC governorship ticket in Lagos State. He spoke at a massive rally organised by the SMA Movement at Police College Field, Ikeja, where over 25,000 supporters from across the state gathered. APC Lagos Vice Chairman Moshood Maiyegun praised the party’s commitment to internal democracy and urged members to back President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. Ajose pledged to build on Lagos’ progressive legacy through good governance, transparency and inclusiveness. His development plan focuses on affordable housing, improved transport links, quality education, and universal healthcare. He also aligned his vision with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to lift two million residents out of poverty. SMA Movement Director-General Biodun Coker launched a statewide door-to-door campaign to strengthen APC’s grassroots structure and secure Tinubu’s re-election. He stressed the need for disciplined mobilisation after lessons from the 2023 presidential election.
