Gunmen Kill 32-Year-Old Man in Plateau Community
A 32-year-old man, Fwangmun Karimu, was killed during an attack on Sabon Gari Village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The attack reportedly occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026. Troops from Sector 8 of Operation Hakorin Damisa responded after receiving a distress report and found that Karimu had been shot. The attackers were reported to have entered the community from the Mangu-Halle axis during heavy rainfall before fleeing. Security forces say they are tracking the perpetrators and maintaining a presence in the area to prevent further attacks.
