ETP Clears Hospital Bills for 20 Survivors of Mbaterem Attack in Benue
Equipping The Persecuted has paid hospital bills and provided financial support for 20 survivors of the August 16 attack on Mbaterem community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The organisation settled bills at three medical facilities in Zaki-Biam and Kyado. It also gave additional support to critically injured victims, including survivors who lost their hands during the attack, and helped a bereaved family with burial expenses. Several beneficiaries are living with permanent disabilities, the loss of relatives and destroyed livelihoods. The group urged the Benue State Government to prioritise the safe return and resettlement of internally displaced residents.
