Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim Says His Politics Differ From Obi and Atiku’s

Accord Party chieftain Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has said his political ideology differs from those of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In a podcast interview, Olawepo-Hashim described Obi and Atiku as belonging to the conservative wing of the opposition. He said he, Omoyele Sowore and Adewole Adebayo shared a left-centre, welfare-focused approach. He cited differences over petrol subsidy policy, noting that Obi has opposed restoring the subsidy while calling for proper use of the savings. Olawepo-Hashim also said he, Sowore and Adebayo had signed a political agreement in Port Harcourt.
