NANS Sets Target to Mobilise 10 Million Students for 2027 Elections

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) says it plans to mobilise at least 10 million students to participate in the 2027 general elections. NANS President Akinteye Afeez announced a National Election Mobilisation Committee after the association’s 91st Senate sitting in Kaduna. The committee will coordinate voter sensitisation, mobilisation and monitoring across the six geopolitical zones. NANS says it represents more than 40 million students and will work with student unions and other stakeholders across campuses. The association has directed groups planning election-related activities involving students to liaise with the committee for coordination and monitoring.
