Abducted Oyo Principal Urges Tinubu, Makinde to Negotiate as Terrorists Threaten Next Killing
Terrorists who kidnapped students and staff in Oriire LGA, Oyo State have released a video of their hostages. The principal of Community High School, Esinele, Mrs Alamu, begs President Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde not to use force in any rescue operation. Mrs Alamu, held for 13 days with pupils and teachers under harsh conditions, warns that the assailants have chosen someone else to kill if pressure continues. She calls on the government and the Nigerian Union of Teachers to open dialogue and meet the gunmen’s demands. In a second clip, teacher Aiyedaunsi Temitope Mary, carrying her young son, echoes the plea. She appeals to traditional rulers to intervene so the terrorists will release them without further bloodshed.
