Court Orders Accord Party to Submit Gbenga Hashim’s Name as 2027 Presidential Candidate
A Federal High Court in Abuja has affirmed Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as Accord Party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election. Justice Mohammed Umar dismissed objections to Hashim’s suit and rejected a letter said to have cancelled the party’s May 30, 2026 presidential primary. The court ordered the party to upload Hashim’s name to the INEC nomination portal. Hashim said he was the sole aspirant at the primary and had fulfilled the party’s membership and nomination requirements. He called on party stakeholders to reconcile and work together ahead of the 2027 election.
