Spanish Police Arrest Suspects Accused of Smuggling Migrants by Jet Ski

Spanish authorities in Ceuta have arrested two suspected people smugglers accused of trying to move Moroccan migrants to mainland Spain by sea. One suspect was allegedly using jet skis, while another was intercepted in a speedboat carrying 11 Moroccan nationals. The Civil Guard reportedly stopped the vessel before it reached the Spanish mainland and towed it back to Ceuta. The arrests followed a major influx of migrants from Morocco into the Spanish enclave. Authorities have previously warned that trafficking networks charge thousands of euros for dangerous crossings across the Strait of Gibraltar.
