JAMB Score Below 200? 10 Schools to Consider for 2026 Admission

My brother scored 176 in JAMB this year and thought all hope was lost. I told him that a score like that can still lead to admission, depending on the school, course and O’level results. Based on recent admission benchmarks, some options to check include FUOYE, Federal University Dutse, Rivers State University, ABSU, IMSU, Akwa Ibom State University, EBSU and PLASU. Polytechnics such as Federal Polytechnic Nekede may also be an option for candidates with lower scores. Candidates scoring between 150 and 170 should consider state universities, polytechnics and courses with lower entry requirements. Confirm each school’s current cut-off mark and Post-UTME requirements before changing institution. Also ensure you have the required five O’level credits. What did you score in JAMB, and which school are you considering? Share your plans so others can offer useful advice.
