Ukraine Expands Deep-Strike Drone Campaign Against Russian Military and Oil Sites
Ukraine has launched long-range drone strikes across Russia, reportedly targeting the Engels strategic airbase, the Saratov oil refinery, oil depots, drone launch sites and logistics facilities. Kyiv says the campaign is aimed at weakening Russia’s military infrastructure and oil-based economy. Russian authorities say they intercepted hundreds of drones, but also reported civilian casualties. Russia has continued attacks on Ukrainian cities including Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Kharkiv, with casualties and damage reported. The strikes signal a further escalation as peace talks remain stalled and front lines show little movement.
