Akwa Ibom Police Arrest Suspect Over Alleged ₦2m Block-Moulding Machine Theft
Akwa Ibom Police have arrested a 23-year-old suspect accused of stealing an industrial block-moulding machine vibrator valued at more than ₦2 million from the Ikot Ekpene International Market project site along Calabar-Itu Road. Police said the suspect was arrested while allegedly trying to sell the equipment. The machine has been recovered, while investigators are working to arrest other suspected members of the gang. In a separate operation, officers arrested a 46-year-old man over the alleged vandalism of a building at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua. Police said aluminium window frames and electrical cables were recovered, and investigations are continuing.
