Abia Court Remands Two Men Over Alleged Sexual Abuse of Four Children

A court in Abia State has remanded two men at the Afara Correctional Centre in Umuahia over separate allegations of sexual abuse involving four minors. One defendant is accused of defiling a nine-year-old girl in Umuana Ndume, Ibeku. The second defendant, a band owner and musician, is accused of abusing three boys in Owerrinta, Isialangwa. The defendants were reported to have denied the allegations, although an account of the proceedings gave conflicting information about one of the pleas. The matters were adjourned to January 29, 2027.
