Shine Your Eyes: A Plea for Nigerians to Vote Beyond Party, Tribe and Religion
I see Nigerians struggling daily with power cuts, costly fuel, rising transport fares and food prices. Many families are cutting meals, postponing plans and stretching every naira just to survive. While ordinary people carry this burden, public services remain weak. Roads are neglected, hospitals lack basic resources, insecurity persists and many young people feel compelled to leave the country in search of safety and dignity. My deepest concern is how easily political loyalty can make us defend failures that affect us all. Party, tribe and religion should not matter more than the safety, welfare and future of our families. As the 2027 elections approach, I urge Nigerians to look beyond gifts, promises and emotional appeals. We must vote with conscience and demand leaders who are accountable to the people.
