Two Nigerians Among Five Migrants Arrested in Rome for 72-Hour Abduction and Rape of Touriste
A 32-year-old Colombian tourist was allegedly lured from a restaurant near Termini Station in Rome and taken to an abandoned building on the city’s outskirts. There, five migrants are accused of drugging and repeatedly raping her over three days. Police from multiple units raided the derelict structure in Tor Cervara after urgent investigation by Italy’s Flying Squad. Among the suspects are two Nigerian men, aged 29 and 39, alongside migrants from Gambia and Mali. The woman escaped half-naked and was taken to Casilino hospital, where tests confirmed signs of violence and sedation. All five have been charged with aggravated gang rape and robbery. Authorities are also probing three other individuals for their roles in the abduction, as well as the theft of the victim’s phone and wallet. Twenty-two other non-EU nationals found at the site face deportation orders.
