Police Recover Stolen Toyota Camry at Ifo Hotel, Arrest Alleged Accomplice

The Ogun State Police Command says it recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Camry from a hotel in Ifo less than eight hours after the theft was reported. Police said the vehicle was allegedly taken by a newly employed driver, who told his employer he was going to repair a tyre. Electronic tracking reportedly led operatives to Ifo, where they recovered the car at about 8:30 p.m. One alleged accomplice was arrested at the hotel, while the driver reportedly fled with the ignition key. Police said the vehicle has been secured and efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect. The command urged vehicle owners to use tracking devices and other anti-theft measures, while advising hotels to verify guests and vehicles and report suspicious activity promptly.
