Police Hunt ISWAP Gunmen After NECO Students Kidnapped in Borno

The Borno State Police Command has sent operatives to Lassa community in Askira/Uba LGA after suspected terrorists abducted NECO candidates. Attackers stormed Lassa Day Secondary School around 9am on Monday, firing shots and seizing students and women selling food on the premises. Security forces engaged the gunmen and prevented a larger-scale abduction. The Area Commander is now leading a search through the surrounding bush. Both a police spokesperson and a state government adviser confirmed the raid and ongoing manhunt to Punch.
