Four Killed in Separate Attacks in Plateau’s Barkin Ladi LGA
Three community vigilantes were killed when armed men opened fire in the NTV community of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, on the night of September 15. Residents said the vigilantes were on watch duty when they were attacked at about 11 p.m. Community leaders have called for increased security patrols and a thorough investigation to identify those responsible. In a separate incident, the body of 48-year-old farmer Marcus Yakubu was found in Kassa Village on September 16. He had reportedly left home for his farm the previous day and did not return. Troops of Operation Enduring Peace responded after receiving a report of the discovery.
