Christiane Amanpour to Leave CNN in June After More Than 43 Years
Christiane Amanpour will leave CNN at the end of June after more than 43 years with the network, according to CNN chief executive Mark Thompson. The veteran journalist, who has covered major wars, global crises and world leaders, will also end her work with PBS. Her CNN International programme is expected to move to a weekly format in early 2027 before concluding in May. Amanpour said she was grateful to the teams and field crews she worked with, praising their commitment to reporting facts and humanity without fear or favour.
