AI Won’t Take Your Job, but Failure to Adapt Might, CcHUB Experts Warn
Experts at CcHUB’s cross-sector dialogue in Lagos say artificial intelligence is already reshaping work, education, media and the creative economy. They urged Nigerian professionals to keep learning and adapt responsibly rather than treat AI as an automatic threat to jobs. Speakers said AI can improve productivity, personalise learning and lower barriers for creators, but it also raises concerns about bias, cybersecurity, misinformation, privacy and intellectual-property rights. They stressed that human judgement, verification, empathy and accountability remain essential. The dialogue also examined online safety for children and better data-protection practices. Participants called for collaboration among parents, schools, technology firms, government, media professionals and creatives to build a safer and more resilient digital future.
