Alhaji Aminu Dantata’s ₦61 Trillion Legacy: Cash, Properties and Private Jets

Alhaji Aminu Dantata left behind an astonishing estate worth over ₦61 trillion in cash across Nigerian and foreign banks. His holdings included 800 petrol stations under his ownership, 500 houses and 1,200 fenced but undeveloped plots in Kano, plus another 320 homes in various towns at home and abroad. He owned 280 operational vehicles and 120 parked ones, along with company shares valued at over ₦30 trillion. Since 1967, he bought 10 private jets, each worth at least ₦1 billion. Survived by four wives, more than 45 children and over 150 grandchildren, he was laid to rest in Medina according to his wishes.
