Troops Arrest 12 Suspected ISWAP Logistics Suppliers and Informant in Borno
Nigerian troops have arrested 12 suspected ISWAP/JAS logistics suppliers, collaborators and an alleged informant during separate operations across Borno State. Troops of the 135 Special Forces Battalion, supported by the Civilian Joint Task Force and vigilantes, apprehended 10 suspects near Kurnari while they were reportedly heading to Miringa Market. Five cows, two tricycles, nine mobile phones, waist bags, a knife and ₦12,600 were recovered. In separate operations, troops arrested another suspected supplier in Zowo Village, Gubio LGA, and an alleged informant in Monguno. Soldiers also recovered an abandoned 60mm mortar bomb and an RPG bomb at Mallam Fatori, which explosives personnel secured.
