EFCC Arrests Suspended City Boy Leader Halimat Tejuoso Over Alleged Appointment Scam
Halimat Adenike Tejuoso, a suspended woman leader of the City Boy Movement, was reportedly arrested in the Federal Capital Territory on September 15 over allegations of an appointment and contract scam. Security sources said petitions against her were filed with several agencies, including the EFCC, police, ICPC, DSS and Immigration Service. The petitions reportedly accuse her of collecting money from individuals with promises of securing federal appointments and government contracts. The EFCC had declared Tejuoso wanted on April 28, 2026, after she was accused of failing to meet bail conditions during an earlier investigation. The agency’s spokesperson reportedly confirmed her arrest, while the City Boy Movement said it had suspended her pending the outcome of legal proceedings. The allegations remain subject to investigation and prosecution in court.
