Lere Olayinka Urges DSS, Police to Probe Alleged Threats Against Christians in Jos and Enugu
FCT Minister’s media aide Lere Olayinka has asked the Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police Force to investigate a viral video said to contain threats against Christians in Jos, Plateau State, and Enugu State. The video allegedly shows members of the First Aid Group of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah during a drill. Olayinka said a translation of the drill leader’s remarks suggested calls for attacks on people described as “infidels.” He urged security agencies to verify the video, identify anyone involved and act quickly to prevent any breach of peace.
