My YouthCred Loan Experience: How I Received ₦233,000 Without Connections
I applied for the Federal Government’s YouthCred loan on July 23 after seeing a discussion here. Like many people, I initially thought it might be difficult to access without connections. My application was approved on July 30, and I received the loan on August 3. I registered with my name, email address, phone number and NIN as a self-employed entrepreneur. The process had stages covering basic financial questions, business information, BVN-linked bank details, a one-year account statement and an automatic repayment setup. My account statement determined my loan limit. I was offered and accepted ₦233,000. The loan repayment is about ₦247,000 over three months, including the stated 2% interest and administrative charges. Some dashboard updates took time, so I had to refresh and try again. My experience suggests eligible Nigerians can apply for government loans, grants and opportunities without an agent or personal connection. This is my personal experience, not an endorsement of any political party or government.
