Troops Foil Borno Terror Attacks, Arrest Drug Peddlers and Oil Theft Suspects
Nigerian troops carried out operations across the country between September 18 and 19, disrupting suspected terrorist activities, drug peddling and oil theft. In Nasarawa, troops working with NDLEA operatives arrested 12 suspected drug peddlers at Mararaba Udege. They reportedly recovered suspected cannabis and tramadol. In Rivers, two suspects were arrested with illegally refined petroleum products. In Borno, troops repelled attempted attacks on farmers in Kukawa and on military positions in Guzamala and Gajiram. Weapons, ammunition and a camcorder were recovered after the encounters.
