Ondo Air Crash: Pilot Dies Two Weeks After Abuja Wedding

Squadron Leader Ahamefule Aham Man-Ugwueje was among the 25 people who died after a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on October 5, 2026. The aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos and had five crew members and 20 passengers on board. Man-Ugwueje had married Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle in Abuja on September 19, just two weeks before the crash. The Nigerian Air Force released the names of the victims on October 6.
