Tinubu Nominates Chairman, Six Members for Fiscal Responsibility Commission Board

President Bola Tinubu has sent seven nominations to the Senate for confirmation as chairman and members of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission board. Dr Abdullahi Saidu was nominated as chairman. The proposed members are Mohammed Asmau, Mohammed Makama, Suleiman Gidado, Louis Ndukwe, Amaechi Ugwele and Olaniyi Onikola. Senate President Godswill Akpabio referred the nominations to the Senate Committee on Finance, which is expected to report back within two weeks. Tinubu also asked the Senate to consider the National Medical College Amendment Bill 2026, which seeks to strengthen postgraduate medical training and professional examinations.
