Cardinal Onaiyekan Raises Concerns Over Tinubu’s Re-election Bid and INEC Independence

The cleric also questioned whether the Independent National Electoral Commission can be fully independent when its chairman and commissioners are appointed by the president. He called for a more independent process for constituting the electoral body to reduce public distrust.
