Kano APC Denies Role in Gwarzo Court Case, Accuses Kwankwaso of Shifting Blame
The Kano State APC has denied involvement in court proceedings concerning NDC governorship candidate Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo. The party accused Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of shifting blame for his party’s internal legal dispute and challenged him to provide evidence linking the APC, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf or the state government to the case. The APC said the case was brought by NDC members against their own party. It denied sponsoring or influencing the proceedings and said the judiciary should be allowed to handle the dispute independently. The party described Kwankwaso’s allegations as false and urged political actors not to politicise the case. It also said eligible candidates should be able to contest in accordance with the law.
