Lagos Police Arrest Inspector Over Viral Anti-Igbo Remarks About Peter Obi

The Lagos State Police Command has identified and arrested Inspector Osumah Frank after a viral video showed him making anti-Igbo remarks while travelling in a commercial bus. Police said the officer’s comments, including his claim that an Igbo person could not become Nigeria’s president, were made in his personal capacity and do not represent the position of the Nigeria Police Force. The Command described the remarks as inappropriate and said disciplinary action has begun. It added that all officers are expected to act professionally and respect members of the public at all times.
