Pregnant Woman, Couple and Baby Abducted in Kaduna Estate Raid
Gunmen invaded Alrahus Estate in Kaduna Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area, late on Monday, October 5, abducting a pregnant woman, a couple and their six-month-old baby. Residents said the attackers moved from house to house at about 11:30pm, searching for victims. Abdulladir Bello said his pregnant wife called him from the estate as the men tried to force their way into their compound. He said he was in Abuja and could not reach the police before contacting military personnel, who were deployed to the area. The attackers reportedly broke into a neighbouring home and abducted a man, his wife and their baby before taking Bello's wife. Bello said the abductors later demanded a ransom. The raid has renewed fear among residents, coming days after a deadly attack in the Babban Saura area of Chikun.
