Jigawa Hisbah Arrests Eight Over Alleged Same-Sex Acts in Kazaure
The Jigawa State Hisbah Board says it has arrested eight people in Kazaure Local Government Area following a complaint by a 22-year-old man. The complainant allegedly named nine people and claimed they had sexual encounters with him on different occasions. He also alleged that he later tested positive for HIV, which he linked to the encounters. Hisbah spokesperson Dauda Hadejia said the suspects were arrested during an ongoing investigation. He said one person is still being sought and that the case will be taken to court after investigations are completed. The allegations have not been determined by a court.
