Omotola Jalade Urges Nigerians to Reject Entitlement and Build Self-Reliance

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has criticised what she describes as a growing culture of entitlement and begging in Nigeria. Speaking on a talk programme, she said people should seek work, develop useful skills and find ways to create value rather than depend on others for support. Omotola said everyone has needs regardless of their social status, but added that asking for help should be reserved for desperate, life-threatening situations. She warned that entitlement can undermine personal dignity and self-worth.
